Here Are the Top Samtec.com Website Updates of 2024
Happy New Year everyone. 2024 was a fun year for Samtec.com, as we pushed several key updates through to the website, including a massive navigation and back-end content management system overhaul.
Let’s take a look back at some of the highlights, in no particular order.
Homepage Upgrade and Refresh
In this recent post, we highlighted some of the upgrades we made to the homepage of Samtec.com, including a refreshed look with upgraded imagery, secondary call-to-actions, and an upgrade to the Solution Blocks, among other things.

Complete Navigation Overhaul
In mid-2024, we released the largest navigation overhaul we have ever done on Samtec.com in it’s near 30-year history. We replaced an old navigation structure that had been running for over a decade with our new Solution Block structure.
This not only included building hundreds of new pages from scratch, but also a brand new back-end CMS system, and upgrading the CSS across all released pages. It was a major undertaking that was years in the making.

The “Split Search” Upgrade
This project was probably one of the coolest I’ve been a part of at Samtec in my time here. Our on-site search is one of the most highly used applications on the website. As it continued to gain popularity with several features we had added over the years, some things were getting lost in the shuffle.
To help with this, we fully upgraded the user experience of this application to split it into two parts. One side now shows the product results, while the other shows website content results such as pages, documentation, videos, and more. This upgrade has been very well received and allows users to navigate search results much more easily throughout Samtec.com.

Samtec Reserve® gets an Upgrade
Samtec Reserve® is our 1-day shipping program that is offered on over 200,000 frequently ordered products. In 2024, we added more searching capability to several areas of the website including Search, Flex Stack Solutionator, High-Speed Board-to-Board Solutionator, and more, to allow users to more easily find products that can be shipped quickly.
