As demand for new technology continues to evolve at a more rapid pace than ever before, eCommerce best practices all over the web have continued to evolve right along with it. Given the supply chain shifts that we’ve all experienced over the last few years, it has never been more important to either have inventory on hand to build products or be able to get that inventory extremely quickly when you need it.
In the consumer world, if someone has to wait more than three days to have something on their doorstep, it’s considered slow and can even prevent a transaction from taking place. This demand isn’t as aggressive in the B2B world, but as our behaviors evolve as a society, the line between B2C and B2B is quickly becoming much more blurred than ever before.
How Samtec Reserve® Can Help Alleviate Inventory Concerns
Over the last few years, we’ve been building our Samtec Reserve® program to serve customers who need inventory delivered to them very quickly. This program includes over 200,000 frequently ordered connectors and cables which are in heavy demand.
How can we deliver these parts so quickly? On top of keeping these products stocked, Samtec also has several strategically located distribution hubs all over the world where we keep Reserve® inventory. This includes our Singapore hub, which we added in 2023 to further support demand in the APAC region.
When a Reserve® order is placed, our industry-leading logistics operations ensure that it will be delivered on time by calculating which location will best serve the order.
How Can You Find Reserve® Products on Samtec.com?
There are a few different ways you can find Reserve Products on Samtec.com. First, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the Reserve® badge throughout the website. It’ll look something like this:
Samtec Solutionator®
We have a number of parametric search tools that are available on our Digital Tools page which allow users to sort by Reserve® products. For example, if you’re using our Solutionator® parametric search tool (which returns mated set pairs, not just single parts), just check the Reserve® filter to start and you’ll immediately be shown all Mated Sets that have at least one part that qualifies (in the future, we may update this to require both parts to be in Reserve® to be shown).
From there you can continue to pair down your choices with the remaining filters until you’ve found your product. You’ll find a similar filter on other Solutionator®-branded tools throughout the website.
Series and Part Number Pages
On any Samtec Series page, if the part that you have configured qualifies, you’ll see the Reserve® badge show up on the right side next to the configurator. Similarly, on the part-level page, you’ll see a badge next to the part number at the top.
If you see these badges, you can be confident you’ll be able to get this product quickly.
On-Site Search
In our Search application, you can tick the “In Stock” filter. The vast majority of these products will be included in the Reserve® program. If they’re not, we’ve determined that a distributor has stock.
Other Places Throughout Samtec.com
Some other places you’ll also see this badge are below:
- Within the Shopping Cart Page
- Listed in Similar Parts Sections
- Shown within part results grids in Solutionator® tools
- Any other place a part number may be shown
As we continue to evolve this program, we’ll be adding additional frequently ordered and in-demand products to qualify for 1-day shipping. And always remember that even if you don’t see the Reserve® badge, Samtec is well known for its incredibly high level of service and offers the fastest lead times in the industry.
