Basic RF Concepts: Quick Answers to Common Questions
If you are new to RF and microwave engineering, take heart! If I may speak for those of us who have spent much of our career in this industry, we love it for its mystery and ever-changing demands. From my observations, there are few people who start out their engineering careers making a direct line to RF/micro/mmwave engineering. But many do find themselves here. This is especially true for digital signal designers who are now staring down RF principles and test fixtures to characterize the highest speed signals, such as those above 224 Gbps. Since I cannot seem to resist acting on my training in education, I asked the engineers at Samtec to help me prepare a bunch of short videos explaining basic RF Concepts.
We’ve put together a playlist you can find on the Samtec YouTube Channel: gEEk spEEk Video Series – YouTube. The stars are Samtec’s engineers, the subject is RF, and I hope you find this material useful.

Some examples:
We will continue releasing videos in this series of Basic RF Concepts over the next few weeks, so I suggest you consider bookmarking the playlist. All totaled, we will have 24 short videos on RF related topics.
Also in the playlist, you can access our previous series of Basic Signal Integrity/Power Integrity Concepts, which has 14 videos.
