Samtec Tradeshows and Exhibits in November
Fall is a busy time of year for Samtec tradeshows and exhibitions. November is no exception, with Electronica (our largest show of the year), SC24 (which reaches the vital high-performance computing market), and important regional shows in Israel and India. And there’s a seminar on how to work with your Marketing colleagues. As a Marketing guy, I wonder what advice we’ll give?
Electronica (Munich, Germany, November 12-15): Electronica Munich is the world’s largest electronics show. I know it’s the biggest electronics show I’ve seen. Electronica has over 2,100 exhibitors, about 70,000 visitors, and covers 180,000 square meters across 18 halls.
As an American, what fascinates me most is not the size of the show but the fact that almost all the exhibitors serve Hefeweizen, pretzels, and weisswurst. What a great idea! I’ve suggested that Samtec do that at every show worldwide, but so far, those suggestions have been ignored. I’ll keep trying.
Samtec’s booth, B2-219 and B2-119 (that’s right, we have two), is about the size of New Albany, Indiana. That gives us plenty of room to display new products, including the new Si-FLY® HD high-density Flyover® system, URSA® I/O ultra-rugged cable system, AcceleRate® extreme density and performance systems, and Halo™ next-gen 56 Gbps optical system for optical or copper interconnects. Live product and technology demonstrations include high-performance mid-board, front-panel, and back-panel systems as well as precision RF products.
SC24 (Atlanta, Georgia, November 17-22): As you can probably tell from its name, SC24, or Super Computing ’24, is a conference focusing on high-performance computing, networking, storage, and analysis.
Samtec will display new high-performance connector products and technologies, including:
- Si-FLY HD 224 Gbps PAM4 Flyover cable system
- AcceleRate HP 112 Gbps PAM4 systems
- NovaRay and NovaRay I/O high density, 112 Gbps products
- ExaMAX high-speed backplane cable system
- FireFly active optical cable products
- Bulls Eye BE90A 90 GHz test system
Live product demonstrations will include 224 Gbps PAM4 cable solutions, PCIe 7.0, 56 Gbps PAM4 mid-board optical transceivers, CXL 3.0/PCIe 6.0, DDR applications, and 112 Gbps PAM4 Flyover OSFP front panel solutions. You’ll find us at booth 1125.
Military and Aviation (November 28): According to the Military and Aviation official website, “The research and development in the Israeli military industry is one of the world’s most advanced. Israel is considered … a breakthrough maker in this field of technological development.” Nothing there that I disagree with.
Samtec will be presenting our full line of high-speed mezzanine connector systems, high-speed cable assemblies, rugged/power products, precision and standard RF, optics, and flexible stacking solutions.
PCI-SIG India (November 12-13): The PCI-SIG Developers Conferences are free events for the 900+ member companies that develop and bring to market new products utilizing PCI Express® technology. They are an opportunity to learn directly from the industry’s PCIe® experts and participate in technical training to gain best practices for improving product rollout and interoperability.

IEEE Women in Engineering Forum East (November 7-9): Samtec will have a booth at the career fair on Friday, November 8, and on November 9, Samtec’s Janine Love will present “How to Work with Your Marketing Colleagues.”
