See You In February?
Trade show-wise, February is a relatively quiet month for Samtec. It’s quality, not quantity.
First, we’re recovering from DesignCon 25, where we demonstrated products and technologies that support data rates up to 224 Gbps PAM4 and signals up to 110 GHz, new optical transceivers rated at 56 Gbps PAM4, and showcased mid-board, front panel, and backplane Flyover cable solutions.
Second, we’re gearing up for a busy spring season that includes Embedded World and OFC, among many others.
The three important conferences and shows in February include the PCI-SIG Developer’s Conference in Penang and Taipei and SSIF (Small Satellites and Services International Forum) in Malaga, Spain.
PCI-SIG Developer’s Conference
The PCI-SIG Developers Conference APAC tour will be coming to Penang on February 13, 2025, and Taipei on February 17-18. The PCI-SIG Developers Conferences are free events for the 900+ member companies that develop and bring to market new products utilizing PCI Express® technology. They are an opportunity to learn directly from the industry’s PCIe® experts and participate in technical training to gain best practices to improve product roll-out and interoperability.

SSIF
The sixth edition of SSIF, Small Satellites & Services International Forum, is February 18 – 20 in Malaga, Spain.
Over three days, the forum will present panels and sessions that will provide answers and insights from the experts by examining evolving technologies and industry trends that can impact small satellite businesses. In addition, the forum will include interactive poster sessions and a speakers’ corner for creative approaches, participation, and discussion.
I’ve never been to Malaga, but after researching, it looks like a beautiful place for SSIF, or just about any endeavor, for that matter.
