Samtec Showcases RF & Microwave Products at IMS 2025

We’re looking forward to IMS 2025, 15-20 June in San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center, featuring the latest advancements in RF and microwave technology. • Phase and Amplitude Stable Cable Assemblies: Nitrowave™, Samtec’s next generation of RF coaxial cable, offers improved stability with flexure over time. The coaxial structure – with an outer jacket colored in distinctive Samtec orange – is designed to meet increased demands placed on the aerospace, defense, datacom, computer/semiconductor, and instrumentation markets.
• Flexible Waveguide: Samtec’s high-frequency micro waveguide technology supports the demands of next-generation millimeter wave systems. It uses a cable design allowing flexibility and reduced size, yet also maintains loss performance similar to that of a traditional waveguide.
• BE90A: Bulls Eye^® high-performance test assembly features a high-density space-saving design that enables smaller evaluation boards and shorter trace lengths in test and measurement applications. The BE90A is rated to 90 GHz and above.
• New Narrow Body Edge Launch Connectors from DC to 67 GHz: Samtec has released a new line of RF edge launch connectors with a narrow body design that is 33% smaller than traditional edge launch connectors. Interface types include 1.85 mm, 2.40 mm, and 2.92 mm.
• Samtec Glass Core Technology: Samtec’s proprietary GCT enables high-performance connectivity. Developed products include antennas, filters, phased-array modules, and splitters from industry-leading communications and medical electronics companies. Samtec’s GCT is also being used for substrate-integrated waveguide, an enabling technology for chiplets.
• DC to 90GHz Connectors with Alignment Features: Samtec has fully released its line of vertical solderless, compression mount connectors that incorporate precision alignment features. Connectors include both threaded and push-on
  • 135 Series: 1.35 mm (90 GHz)
  • 185 Series: 1.85 mm (65 GHz)
  • 240 Series: 2.40 mm (50 GHz)
  • 292 Series: 2.92 mm (40 GHz)
  • GPPC Series, -CMM option: SMPM (65 GHz)
• Magnum RF: Ganged, multi-port RF blocks and cable assemblies for millimeter wave applications. Ideal when space is limited and a high operating frequency is required.
• VNX+™: See Samtec product and support solutions for VITA™ 90 VNX+.

Technical Talk

Also at the IMS Exhibition, meet Sandeep Sankararaman, Principal Engineer at Samtec as he talks about “Balancing the Conflicting Demands of Watt and Kelvin without Losing Your Sanity” at the ANSYS booth (#1543) from 3:00-3:20pm on Tuesday 17 June. Sandeep has 20+ years of experience in design of IC packages, PCBs, PCB connectors and connectors for cable assemblies and is an excellent resource for your interconnect design questions.

Women In Microwaves Reception

Samtec is proud to sponsor the annual Women In Microwaves Reception and Keynote. This event welcomes all IMS attendees to promote collaboration, with a spotlight on the work of female engineers and researchers.

The Women in Microwaves keynote will be held Tuesday, 17 June at 13:30-15:00 in the Affinity Zone, Room 212-214, Moscone Center. This year’s reception is Tuesday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, at the Social Terrace at the W Hotel.
