This time of year is typically set aside for preparation, and this year is no different. We spent November working on a couple of major upgrades to prepare for releases in 2018, one with the way we handle quotes in My Samtec, and the other with how we handle the checkout experience when purchasing or sampling products.
We expect both of those to release in 2018 and will keep you posted when they do.
Most of the updates last month were routine maintenance and support-oriented. Here is the list of updates to the Samtec.com in November 2017.
Addition of bandwidth charts to Flyover page
Last month we brought you a new experience to detail our Flyover technology, that extends signal reach by routing signals over the board versus through lossy PCBs. We’ve added a bandwidth chart to this page to help illustrate the performance differences that can be achieved.

Addition of new Standards pages to Main Navigation Mega Menu
In the past several months, we’ve added a handful of new experiences for various industry standards and how we support them. To make these more accessible, we’ve added these to our main navigation “mega menu”.
You’ll find them under the Industry Standards heading under Connectors and Cables (pictured to the right)
The updated pages include:
Addition of RF and Sealed IO builders to Main Navigation Mega Menu
As we’ve been working on other areas of the website, we realized that we’ve lost sight of a couple of our major tools, Sealed IO and RF Solutionator.
These are both standalone cable building experiences and follow a simple step-by-step process to take you from idea to fully built cable solution.
You can now access these directly from the main navigation under the Cables and RF headings in the main navigation.
Addition of several new videos to the website
These videos have been added to various pages on the website. Here are the direct links to watch them.
PS: Coming soon we’ll be opening up our on-site search to include a dedicated video section, making browsing our video content on Samtec.com easier than ever before.
Additional purchasing options on Kits and Boards page
Earlier this year we introduced several component and development kits to make the design process easier for you. This month we’ve added several additional options that are now available to purchase on Samtec.com.
