We continued a nice start to 2022 with several content releases on the website, as well as adding a few new eCommerce features on our Product pages.
Here are the major updates to Samtec.com for February 2022.
Solution Blocks on Homepage
Samtec Solution Blocks support a variety of different interconnect needs across a wide array of industries, regardless of application, performance requirements, or environment.
These Solution Blocks can now be accessed directly from the homepage of Samtec.com. You can read more about this in our previous blog post.

Recently Viewed Series and Parts
As the Samtec website continues to evolve, we’ve been quietly adding several new eCommerce features in various areas of the website. With a recent release, we’ve added two new useful features to our Product Tech Specs pages to the Series and the Part-Level version of the page.
If you’re logged into Samtec.com, you’ll now be able to see your 10 most recently viewed series in a new block on the series page titled “Recently Viewed”.

A Brand New About Samtec Page
The previous version of our About Samtec page had been around for over 5 years. A lot has changed since this. This new “About” page details our story, products, solutions, and culture. You’ll see more about this new page in an upcoming blog post. Keep an eye out for that.

New NovaRay® I/O Family Page
NovaRay® I/O offers the highest aggregate data rate on the market, 3,584 Gbps PAM4, with a high-density cable-to-cable bulkhead panel connection. Flyover® cable technology routes data above lossy PCB to simplify board layout and extend signal reach, both inside and outside of the box. Passive electric external cables prevent a large thermal load at the panel and require no heat sinks, saving valuable panel space.

Recommended Products in the Cart
Similar to the recent update to add recommendations to our product pages, we have added this feature to the Cart as well. If you have a product in your Cart that matches our machine-learned dataset, you’ll get those product recommendations in the bottom portion of your cart as well, directly under your saved parts.
Added a Batch Button to Project Lists Feature
Lastly, we released a “Batch Add” button to our project list feature. This will allow you to take all of the items in your project list and move them to your cart in multiples of your batch size.
For example, if I have 4 of one product and 5 of another, and I want to add 5 “batches”, this tool would then add 20 and 25 of each part to my cart. What this does is allows users to keep the parts they need in a project list, and then add all of those to their cart in multiples very quickly, rather than adding them all individually each time.
This is a nice time-saving feature when you need more parts of things you’ve got saved in your project lists.
