The connector industry has a unique challenge that virtually no other industry faces. When customers search for our products, they very frequently need a mated set of these products to design into their applications, but the difficulty behind this is there are so many unique ways to mate products together that it’s very difficult to offer products as mated sets.
Samtec set out to offer a digital solution to this problem several years ago when we created our original Solutionator tools. We’ve been updating these over time and have recently released two incredibly useful new Solutionators, targeted towards our Flexible Stacking and High-Speed Board-to-Board products.
These tools allow users to answer a few simple questions within a modern web interface and then be presented with a list of mated sets that will fit those parameters. This process can take less than 30 seconds if the user knows exactly what they are after.
These have largely been standalone tools up until this point, linked to throughout the website, but never integrated into the experience. We have recently begun to integrate these tools into several pages throughout the website. This integration embeds a large call-to-action button to launch the tools right within the page the user is viewing, and allows them to configure a full mated-set solution within seconds where relevant.
You’ll find these in several areas such as on category pages, subcategory pages and even some of our newer product group pages.

Each of these pages feature an embedded and fully integrated version of the Solutionator tools, which allow users to use them without exiting the current page. This is another feature of Samtec.com that can drastically speed up the design process.
