Build Discrete Wire Cables With Samtec’s New Discrete Wire Cable Solutionator®

We’re thrilled to announce that our newest digital tool, the Discrete Wire Cable Solutionator®, is now fully released on Samtec.com.

This tool is similar to our other cable builder tools which will first start with a series of simple input questions for the user, present them with products that fit that input, and then direct them to the product configurator for that cable.

How to Build Your Discrete Wire Cable on Samtec.com

Users will start by selecting either Pitch, Wire Gauge, CCC, or Operating Temp. This will help narrow the list to a small number of products. From here, product characteristics will appear in the resulting grid to help the user choose. Since this is a smaller number of products, one filter typically works well.

From there, users will choose their product based on these filters and needs, and then configure it in the next step. I’ll choose 1.00 mm and our S1SD product in 28 AWG.

This will launch the product configurator for that product, which allows me to then configure my product further, download a 3D model or footprint, and even Add to Cart, Request a Free Sample, Get a Quote, or research further technical details by clicking the part number link or Technical Documents below.

You’ll also see Catalog Pages, Prints, and Mating Connectors below the configurator as additional information to help build your application.
