In last month’s update we brought you an expanded rollout of our streamlined sampling experience, which has been well received so far.
This month, we rolled out that update on a MUCH larger scale, and also released a few new key pieces of content and literature.

Full Release of New Full Part Number and One-Step Sample Experience
For a couple of months now, we’ve been quietly testing a new experience when a user wants to get information on a full part number.
This month, we’ve wired that experience up to our on-site search tool and all of our full part number redirects. This means if you’re looking for information on a full part number, you’re now going to be using this brand new full page experience.
This major update brings you a bunch of new and useful features:
- An omnipresent menu to help you easily navigate through resources
- Adapts to all screen sizes responsively
- Mobile capabilities so you can perform research and place sample on the go
- Instant 3D model capabilities on any browser and any device
- Easier access to all types of technical documentation
- Access to an email Specs Kit for later reference
And best of all, we’ve included the same one-step sample process from Solutionator on this page as well. Getting a 24-hour sample of any part you are viewing is as easy as clicking the “Get a Free Sample” button, filling in your contact and address information, and clicking confirm. It’s all done in a single step.

New Broadcast Video Resources
Video has transformed from being an analog 6 MHz bandwidth signal to a 12 Gbps digital data stream. As signaling transitioned to 12 Gbps 4K UHD-SDI standards, the demand for meeting stringent return loss requirements up to 12 GHz emerged.
Samtec has the largest variety of 12G-SDI products available, including right-angle and low-profile options.
This month, we’ve released two new resources to help you design with our broadcast video products.
- Broadcast Video Design Guide – This high definition (see what I did there?) design guide walks you through all of our broadcast video capable products from RF to Optics, to High Speed and Backplane, to Twinax Flyover, and everything in between. - 12G SDI Broadcast Video Standards page – To dig a little bit deeper with our broadcast video offering, check out our newly released 12G SDI page, which details all of the part numbers that adhere to this standard.
Flyover QSFP Application Design Guide
Since our Flyover technology was first popularized with Samtec FireFly™ products, it has been growing into a number of other applications.
This month, we’ve released our Flyover QSFP Application Design Guide to help you design with our Flyover QSFP products, which take advantage of the same technology that FireFly™ uses to fly critical high-speed signals over the board.
