Since Samtec began in 1976, free connector samples have been a cornerstone of our business model. That said, we’re always looking for ways to continue to improve how we get samples into your hands.
Recently we rolled out a simplified way to place sample requests on the website, which significantly shortens the click path that you need to take to place a sample request.
Rather than navigating several pages down into the website, we’ve brought the ability to place a sample request to a standalone tool that is accessible with just one click.
At the top left of the website, when you click on the “Free Samples” link, you’ll now be presented with a simple pop-out tool that will allow you to enter as many sample lines as you need.
Just type in your valid Samtec part numbers (click the “+” button for more lines), click “Get Samples” and adjust the quantity on the next page. The rest is the same from there.
Available on All Devices
This tool is also available on mobile and tablet devices, making the sample experience between desktop, tablet, and mobile very consistent.
Fun fact about this update. It was never actually planned to release to Samtec.com.
This was a concept we developed to make placing sample requests easier from our kiosk stations at trade shows. People liked it so much that we decided to make it the main sampling tool on Samtec.com!
