Back in January 2020, we rolled out a new experience for component data for our discrete wire products. This update has been very well received. In that blog post, we promised some version 2 updates that would better organize the new data.
With this post, we’re happy to announce version 2 of this update, which streamlines the experience even further. All of the same information is available but in a much more compact and easily digestible manner.
Previously, we listed all of the data in a table format, row by row. This worked well enough but ended up being a bit overwhelming for some of the series with larger data sets. Some series had up to 20 rows of data, which was perfectly accurate, but became difficult to read.
So this….
Became this…
You’ll notice right away that the data in version two is much easier to digest. The data is broken down by the type of component, such as housing, contact, terminal, assembly, etc. It also lists the panel and board assemblies separately and lists the tooling that is related to each product.
The end result is an experience that is much easier on the eyes and ultimately quicker to digest.
You can take a look at the new data and layout on the S1SS page as an example, or any of the other eligible discrete wire series pages.
