If you follow our blog at all, then chances are likely that you have seen at least one of the blogs concerning a new test initiative called Severe Environment Testing (SET).
As Mil / Aero, Space, Industrial, Transportation, and Automotive manufacturers continue to use Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) parts in their applications, Samtec has taken testing to another level to ensure these COTS parts can perform for those applications.
SET Online
Samtec has setup a page within our website specifically dedicated to Severe Environment Testing. This new page showcases the need for Severe Environment Testing, which tests are part of this initiative, contains the SET flyer, and showcases the product series that are or will be part of the Severe Environment Testing.
Among the part numbers tested for SET are those that have become popular COTS options within the industries listed above (Mil / Aero, etc). Below is a list of parts series that have been or will be tested for SET.
Catching UP on SET
Since this isn’t the first blog regarding SET, the “nuts and bolts” were not discussed here. We were mainly focused on sharing the landing page for SET on Samtec’s website. If this is new to you then we suggest checking out the other blogs that dive further in to the additional tests performed.
