Throughout its history, Samtec has gladly supported charities, events, and causes, and encouraged associates worldwide to be involved in our local communities. In addition, we routinely host donation drives and invite non-profits into our various facilities to learn more about their missions and ways we can help.

The crown jewel in our community efforts is the Samtec Cares Grant Program. Samtec Cares was created to positively impact and assist organizations within the communities in which Samtec employees live, work, go to school, and play. Grants are awarded to applying and qualified 501(c )(3) non-profits, up to $50,000 per grant.
Samtec recently announced that over $615,000 in grants were awarded to 29 organizations during 2023. Samtec has awarded over $4 million to date since the inception of the grant program in 2018 to over 155 different organizations.
Samtec Cares targets its awards to support five areas of focus:
- Community Development: To better the places where Samtec operates, we look for organizations that improve the quality of life for our employees and neighbors.
- Health and Social Services: Our goal is to support the health of communities and aid organizations that assist those in need.
- Arts and Culture: We support organizations in our communities that provide unparalleled creative arts experiences and opportunities.
- Education and STEM: Samtec supports the education system including STEM-related programs that focus on hands-on learning with real-world applications.
- Environment: We support organizations whose goal is to reduce overall environmental impact via climate, water, air, land, etc.
On a personal note, as a person who has spent almost his entire career at Samtec, I know I speak for many of my coworkers when I say I’m proud to work here. Samtec Cares is one of countless examples that reflect the generosity and attitude that the company and the people who work here have for the community. It’s a caring company.
