We rolled out several small updates this month to continue to enhance your Samtec.com experience. We continued the tweaks to our search tool, released an upgrade to our standards page, added a new product category in our RF section, and made it easier for you to find our sales locations.
Here are the major updates to Samtec.com for May of 2018.
Search Upgrades

After a small tweak to our search rules, you’ll now find that it is much easier to find products containing decimal characters, such as our .100″ pitch and .050″ pitch systems. You’ll also find that our instant search dropdown is much faster since we simplified the amount of data it needs to access for results.
You can read more about this upgrade here: https://blog.samtec.com/post/continued-updates-to-samtec-search-tool/
New Standards Page

You’ll now notice a new Industry Standards page linked from the main navigation. This new page includes an updated design, new header graphic, easier to follow navigation, and detailed descriptions of each section. It also simplifies the information presented in a more logical manner and removes some of the older standards that are no longer supported.
You can read more about this upgrade in an upcoming blog post.
Personalized Sales Location in Footer
In the footer of Samtec.com, we’ve always made it easy to contact us by phone, email, or live chat. You’ll now find an area where we’ll match you up with your local FSE (Field Sales Engineer) based on your current location.

You can also change this location manually if we somehow get the wrong one.
To use this feature, go to Samtec.com and scroll down to the footer.
Note: You’ll have to accept location tracking when prompted in order to use this feature. Otherwise we will not be able to match your location to our database.
Precision RF Addition to Main Nav

If you hover over the RF heading in our main navigation, you’ll notice a new category called “Precision RF.”
Products in this category offer high performance starting at 34 GHz with 65 GHz solutions in development. There will be more to come about this developing product category in the remainder of 2018.
Addition of Protocols Data to Tech Specs pages

For many of our high-speed products, you’ll now notice a new tab in the Technical Specifications area of the website called “Protocols”. This tab allows you to see if the product you are viewing is compatible with certain protocols and data rates.
You can see an example of this feature by viewing the SEAF series – https://www.samtec.com/products/seaf#protocols
We’ll have more to come about this update in an upcoming blog post. Stay tuned!
