In September 2020, we released the RF path of our new Picture Search, updated the design and data of our Discrete Wire data, rolled out a brand new design for our Application Tooling page, and worked on a variety of other areas of content on Samtec.com.

Upgraded Application Tooling Page Experience
We offer a variety of application tooling to help you assemble your Discrete Wire, Sealed I/O, RF, and many other products that come in components. These can be simple hand rools for small jobs or automated presses for larger volumes.
We just released a new version of the application tooling page that supports these products. The new page breaks down each tool by type and includes all of the instructions and datasheets. It also includes in-page pricing for each tool and Add to Cart links for everything.
This new page is also a much more modern experience and works well on mobile devices.

RF Path for Picture Search
A few months ago we told you about Picture Search, our newly updated online design tool. With this latest release, we’re happy to announce that RF solutions are now available in Picture Search.
This is the final addition in showcasing Samtec’s six Solution Blocks or product categories to help you find your exact solution.
This application is a brand new approach to searching by picture on Samtec.com, with incredible performance and ful mobile compatibility. It’s never been easier to find Samtec products, wherever you are.

New Data and Design for Discrete Wire Data
Several months ago we rolled out an addition to our Technical Specifications pages that showed component-level data for our Discrete Wire products.
With this update, we’ve updated the way we display this data to be more compact organized, and have added additional data to supplement what was already there.
For all eligible products, you’ll be able to see housings, contacts, assemblies, tooling, and applicators, all with active links and broken down in a simple table.

Additions to PICMG Standards Page
Last month we released our new PICMG standards page. This month we’ve added some more depth to this section, adding sections for MicroSAM® and MicroTCA®.

Updated Design for .050″ Tiger Eye Discrete Wire Page
Our .050″ pitch Tiger Eye discrete wire system is one of our most popular discrete wire solutions. With the high-reliability contact system, several latching options, shrouded, polarized and keyed options, many cable options, and being available as components or assemblies, it’s one of our most rugged and versatile discrete wire products.
We’ve updated the design of this page to include a brand new header image and several additional pieces of supporting documentation and content.
