In October, we continued with our imagery updates to the website and rolled out several new content pages for several new and exciting products that are being designed into some of the most powerful devices in the world.
Part Number Specific Images Added to On-Site Search
In the previous couple of updates, I’ve talked about how we have been adding part-specific images throughout the website in various places. With this month’s update, we’ve added these images to our on-site search tool for nearly half a million products.
Now, when you perform a keyword search or partial part number search on Samtec.com, rather than see a representative series image, you should see a part-specific image that exactly fits the product you are searching for.
New NovaRay® Backplane Family Page
NovaRay® Micro Rugged Backplane system supports blind mate applications with optional guidance and keying, plus standard weld tabs for a secure connection to the board. The ultra-high density design allows for up to 128 differential pairs in a single connector with configurable signal banks for design flexibility. For performance up to 112 Gbps PAM4, the trusted NovaRay® wafer design eliminates intra-pair skew along with large continuous ground blades between and surrounding the differential pairs, which remove resonances.

New ExaMAX® I/O Family Page
Samtec’s ExaMAX® external cable and cage system features EMI shielding to help limit signal degradation and optimize performance, supporting 56 Gbps PAM4 applications. The high-density design features up to 72 staggered differential pairs on individual signal wafers, which increases isolation and significantly reduces crosstalk. For additional signaling, one sideband per column is included. Eye Speed® ultra low skew cable technology improves bandwidth and extends signal reach.

New AcceleRate® Mini Family Page
The miniature form factor of AcceleRate® Mini offers space savings and design flexibility without sacrificing performance. Featuring Samtec’s proprietary Eye Speed® Thinax™ ultra-performance twinax, this taped jacket cable is miniaturized for more dense connectors with 112 Gbps PAM4 performance. Use AcceleRate® Mini on both ends of the assembly, or with other Flyover® End 2 options for increased design flexibility.
