This month, we released a couple of new content pieces, upgraded our award-winning configurator across the website, and made some UX updates to our Flexible Stacking Solutionator. We also released two brand new features on the website, the new RF Solutionator, and custom Project Lists.
Here are the major web updates to Samtec.com for November 2021.
Configurator Upgrade

You’ve seen the configurator on the Product Series pages for years as the primary way to configure Samtec products online. In November, we upgraded this to a new version, which has a sleek new user interface, easier-to-read inputs, sliders for cable lengths, improved viewer functionality, better performance, and also gives us the ability to create better software experiences, such as the RF Solutionator.
We’ll have more on this in an upcoming blog post. For now, you can try it out on any series page, such as SEAF.
Flex Stack Solutionator Free Form Entry and Sliders

We upgraded our recently released Flex Stack Solutionator with an easier way to choose your Positions and Stack Height. We added sliders and free-form entry boxes to each field. This allows users to either use the sliders to choose a range or enter exact figures into the entry boxes. People like different things, so this caters to both of those user needs.

The New RF Solutionator

Samtec’s RF offering has been growing at a rapid rate the last few years. From Board Connectors to Cable Connectors, to Cable Assemblies, and a variety of creative problem-solving Original Solutions, as well as our industry-leading customer service and support, Samtec is well-positioned to be your RF partner.
And now, that’s even easier than ever before.
In November, we released a brand new way to build and configure RF cables on our website, called the RF Solutionator. This application allows users to start with an end option, pair it up with a valid cable option, and then allows the user to configure the rest of the cable using our configurator tool.
We wrote a blog post about this application earlier in the month. You can read all about this new piece of software here.
Create and Save Multiple Project Lists

A couple of weeks ago, we released a new feature for the website which allows all users with a Samtec.com account to create multiple named custom project lists.
Think of this as an Amazon wishlist, like the one you have for acceptable holiday gifts, or the one you have for the stuff you want to buy but you have other priorities.
We wrote a blog post about this earlier in the month. You can read all about this new feature here..
SOSA Industry Standard Page

Samtec is always increasing its support for industry standards. The Sensor Open Systems Architecture is our newest page that details how we support the SOSA™ standard.
SOSA™ defines an architecture and standards for modular entities for composing sensors with Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Electronic Warfare (EW), Radar, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) modalities. Rather than defining an entirely new system, this Standard defines a set of logical modules that group functions, behaviors, and interfaces, which together define the logical architecture of a sensor. As a result, SOSA™ technologies can:

- Integrate into new or existing systems using SOSA™ defined sensors.
- Allow for greater design modularity for hardware or software in embedded systems.
- Permit the user to reconfigure Standards such as OpenVPX™ and SAE AS6169 for use as SOSA™ sensors.
- Facilitate rapid fielding of embedded technologies and platform reconfiguration.
