In November, we wrapped up our technical debt cleanup, upgraded several of our back-end APIs, and rolled out several small user-experience updates throughout Samtec.com.
These updates will pave the way for some exciting new applications and e-e-commerce features in 2020.

Several New SI Evaluation Kits Pages
We’ve been working hard developing several new evaluation and development kits to speed up help development across a variety of our product lines.
We’re releasing new content for these kits as they come available, and are also working on an upgrade to this section of the website to better organize the growing nature of this area.

Updates to XMC and FMC+ Industry Standards
With more development kits, added test reports, and more, our support the VITA standards has grown in recent months.
We have made a variety of content updates to the XMC and FMC+ pages in this area of the website so users can learn about them.

Updated Design for Technology Centers Page
Samtec Technology Centers are at the heart of our support for customers from one end of the system all the way to the other – or as we like to call it from Silicon-to-Silicon.
We’ve recently updated our Technology Centers webpage with fresh content and a few new videos so users can learn more about how they support our customers.

New Notifications Feature for Logged-in Users
Since we released our updated login system earlier this year, we have been steadily adding features to it. With this release, users will now get a notification when there is something new they should pay attention to, such as a new feature, new relevant content, etc.
The first notification will be for all users to set a security question. This will allow users to recover their account in the case where email and other forms of support are unavailable.
Our next step with this system is allowing greater access to the user profile, which will allow personalization features and easier account management.
Efficiency Updates to Samtec.com APIs
There are several APIs running behind the scenes of Samtec.com that allow all of the different functionality we provide. We upgraded many of them this month to new versions that essentially cut the memory usage in half.
The result is a much faster experience for users and an increased ability to handle peak traffic without the need for scaling.
