Here are the July 2024 Website Updates to Samtec.com
In July, we focused on updating a few areas of My Samtec, continuing to extend information on our Samtec Reserve® program, and made several key content updates to many areas of the website. We’re also working on a couple of major upgrades to our Search and Pricing areas of the website that we’ll be releasing in August and September.
Updated Sample Board Page for Distributors
Within the Distributor area of My Samtec, we have been building a Sample Boards ordering page, which helps distributor users order these popular sample boards more easily which are pre-configured with many of Samtec’s most popular products and mating combinations. As I write this post, there are nearly 25 different sample boards included on this page.
If you’re a distributor and would like access, just login to your My Samtec account and look for the Sample Boards link on the bottom left of your screen.
New Samtec Reserve® Page
This new page helps to promote and detail the Samtec Reserve® program which helps website users quickly identify the availablity of over 200,000 of Samtec’s most popular connectors and cables, guaranteed to ship in 1-day.
Look for the Reserve® icon throughout the website to determine if your part number is eligible, along with current availablity, quantity breaks and pricing. Hundreds of part numbers are being added daily.
The page features a search box which directs to our search tool, as well as several popular products which already qualify for Reserve® status, and many additional resources and tools to help website users find these products all across samtec.com.
Several New Development Kits Updated and Added
We have updated the content of many of our development kits pages, including adding a two new development kits to this section for NovaRay® I/O Flyover® and FQSFP-D8.
As data rates increase, trace length on PCBs decrease. Samtec’s high-speed, Flyover® cable assemblies simplify PCB design and limit signal degradation in high data rate applications.
The NovaRay® I/O SI Evaluation Kit provides system designers and SI engineers an easy-to-use solution for testing the NovaRay® I/O 112 Gbps PAM4 Panel Mount Cable System.
The FQSFP-D8 SI Evaluation Kits provide system designers and SI engineers an easy-to-use solution for testing FQSFP-D8 Product 800G Flyover® QSFP Double Density Cable System with various End 2 options.
Updated My Samtec Menu
As we continue to upgrade many of the features of our My Samtec self-service system, we’ve made the navigation much easier to use. We’ve split out the former My Activity area into it’s standalone links, for Pricing and Delivery, Order Status, Sample Status, Quote Status, and My Cart, all of which have gotten or will be getting major upgrades in the near future.
