As 2022 came to a close, the Samtec Web team focused on the completion of our new REACH compliance tool as well as a few new content updates to various areas of the website. We also added some user experience updates to our new checkout system to make things flow more smoothly.

REACH Compliance Certificate Tool
As the need for quick access to environmental compliance documentation grows for our customers, we have added the ability to download REACH certificates of compliance to our already popular RoHS compliance tool.
Users can input their part numbers, choose from a few checkboxes, and receive their certificates of compliance in just a few seconds.

New FMC+ Extender Kit Page
Engineers prototyping with industry-standard FPGA evaluation and development kits often leverage the FMC+ interface for I/O expansion that fits their application needs. In some cases, the mating height of the standard FMC+ connectors may prevent fully leveraging the connectivity options of all FMC+ modules.
In response to that need, Samtec has developed the FMC+ Extender Card for placement between FPGA Carrier Cards and FMC+ Modules. This increased space can be used for additional I/O expansion during development.
The FMC+ Extender Card also provides a cost-effective option for extending the life of the FPGA Carrier Card HSPC connectors used as test platforms.

New Hyperboloid Contact System Short Video
Our Contact Systems page shows a short animation of how all of our various contact systems mate to one another. The flexibility that these systems offer allows Samtec to solve a variety of customer needs, from high-cycle applications, to rugged applications, and more.
We just added a video for our micro-hyperboloid contact system, which is a high-reliability option offering four points of contact, extreme mating cycles, and support for power and I/O systems.

We’ve updated our JIIA / CoaxPress page with information regarding CoaxPress 2.0, which is the world’s leading standard for high-speed imaging in professional and industrial applications, such as machine vision, medical imaging, life sciences, broadcast, defense, and more.

Last, but not least, we’ve updated our new checkout with various user-experience improvements to improve the user checkout workflow, as well as a few things in our back-end systems to speed up order processing.
