As we continue to work on a major overhaul to our navigation and back-end systems of the website, we were still able to make progress on a few key updates this month to continue improving the user experience on Samtec.com.
Here are the major updates to Samtec.com for April 2024.
More Emphasis on Most Relevant Test Reports

It might sound like a small update, but anything that makes it easier for our users to find the relevant technical data they need is important to us. On the product pages in the Test Reports area, we’ve moved what we believe to be the most popular and relevant test reports to the top of the list. The goal is to get the data that users are after in front of them more quickly, speeding up the design process and making the website easier to use.

API Database, Performance, and Version Updates
![code](https://blog.samtec.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/code-1024x576.jpg)
Samtec.com uses dozens of different APIs to pull in various types of data throughout the website. The Samtec Web team builds and maintains many of these themselves. We are working on migrating these to a more modern infrastructure as well as upgrading the code to the latest supported version of our code. The full project will take some time to complete, but we’re now through about half of them.
Those we have upgraded have shown increased performance and reduced memory usage. This means a snappier experience for all users across Samtec.com, especially with the more intensive applications that these APIs support.
Both Parts Reserve Filter in Solutionators®
![both parts reserve](https://blog.samtec.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/both-parts-1024x249.jpg)
In all of our Solutionator® tools where users can design a mated set of products, we have now added a feature that allows users to require that BOTH parts be within our Samtec Reserve® program, which offers 1-day shipping on over 200,000 parts. Previous to this change, only one side of the mated set was required to be in Reserve®.
You can see this filter in action in these three tools.

New Tools on the Tooling Page

To support a few new product releases, we have added additional product tooling to our Tooling Page. This includes updates for our URSA® I/O, which is designed for extremely rugged cable applications, as well as updates for our Power Mate® and mPower® products, which are two of our most popular power products.
You can see the new updates here, with the rest of our Tooling products as well.

It is worth mentioning that the next time you read this update, Samtec.com will be far different than you see it today. We are on the verge of releasing the full navigation and back-end overhaul that we have been working on for the better part of the last year. We’ll publish several blog posts on that walking users through each part of the update. Keep an eye out for that in late May.
