Chances are extremely high these days that you own at least one electronic device, which means you likely have an adaptor or two – or twenty. If you’re like me, then you probably have a box of adaptors “just in case.”
We’ve recently added Precision RF adaptors to the Samtec website, highlighting the series options that will be available soon. Whether you’re connecting two alike or unalike interfaces, here you’ll find in-series and between-series adaptors for your application. No need for a “just in case” box.
Precision RF Adaptors
Samtec’s mmWave high-precision adaptors, with well-performing VSWR and insertion loss, are an ideal solution for next-gen test platforms being built for measurement stability and accuracy.
These Precision RF 50 Ω adaptors (PRFIA in-series and PRFBA between-series) will be available in a variety of interface types and gender configurations. Initial offerings will include SMPM, 1.85 mm, 2.40 mm and 2.92 mm in a straight orientation with many more to come. Male-to-male (plug-to-plug), female-to-female (jack-to-jack) or male-to-female (plug-to-jack) options will be available with threaded or push-on coupling.
Currently available is Samtec’s Magnum RF™ SMPM bullet adaptor (PRFIA) that allows for axial and radial misalignment in high-density, blind mate applications. This is a ganged, multi-position board-to-board solution ideal when space is limited and high operating frequency is required. Check out this eBrochure to learn more.
Magnum RF™ spring-loaded bullet adaptors are coming soon. They provide higher vibration tolerance for maintaining consistent signal contact.
Precision RF Mating Cable Assemblies
