November completed another solid month of web updates to Samtec.com. While there was no new application software released, we took this time to make a few key upgrades to some of our existing software to continue to enhance your user experience.
Here are the major web updates for the month of November.
New About Samtec Experience
In this new “About Samtec” experience, we’ll take you through our story, which started in 1976 with our founder Sam, and continues into today. Through the past 40 years, Samtec has created the unique work environment that its associates and customers get to experience every day.
From our story, to career opportunities, to what we’re doing to keep our footprint sustainable on the planet, and everyting in between, this new experience is designed for you to get to know the culture behind the connectors.
We’re proud to offer a direct buying experience on our website. Whether you’re a startup looking to get just a few pieces of pins and plastic, or you’re a multi-million dollar company who needs thousands of pieces, we want to make sure you get exactly what you need.
To that end, November was a huge step forward for all users wishing to check out with a credit card on Samtec.com.
We’ve not only updated the front end experience to be much more smooth on the user, but we’ve also opened up the credit card checkout option to many more currencies, and guest users without registering for My Samtec.
We’re continuing to work on this experience as well to make your direct checkout experience on Samtec.com as smooth as possible.
This beautiful 19 page full-color design guide showcases the versatility of our Micro Rugged solutions, designed specifically to perform in high cycle, high power, and harsh environment applications.
We’ve got several updates in the works that are coming soon, including a much anticipated sample experience for Solutionator 2.0, continuing updates to our online checkout process, an updated “full-part-number” experience, and a massive update to the way you search for products on Samtec.com.
