Working with another family-owned, US-based company allows us to understand some of the nuances associated with the defense and aerospace industries.
Any way that we can continue to grow our presence in the marketplace helps not only Samtec but the industry as a whole. A US-based manufacturing, Sudden Service, COTS Products Reserved for the customer and ready to ship the next day, through multiple channels makes for a fantastic combination for the Defense Industry where a warfighter’s life is on the line when technology is not there and ready for them.

Lot Screen Testing to MIL-DTL-55302
A recent addition to how Samtec supports Defense and Aerospace industries is by implementing a sample-sized Lot Screen Test. We touched on this in the conversation with Jamie, but are excited to add this to our lineup. Years ago Samtec introduced SET (Severe Environment Testing) to some of our design qualifications. (see the link below for additional tests added at that time)
The introduction of SET was a great baseline when introducing a product to the market. Lot screen sample testing is the next level. This is where some of these more rigorous inspections are added with every lot of assemblies built. Working with Powell, and key customers, we were able to identify critical aspects of the MIL-DTL-55302 and implement this within the production line.
