In September, we made a few updates to our shopping cart, upgraded our CoC automation tools, added more emphasis on our Reserve program, and added several new content pages across Samtec.com.
Here were the major updates to Samtec.com for September 2023.
Shopping Cart Updates to View Mates and Part-Specific Images
The provide a better research and ordering experience, we’ve been working on adding over 500,000 part-number-specific images to the website. These are our most popular part configurations.
Recently we’ve added these to the Cart so users can see an image of the exact part they’re ordering before clicking checkout.
On top of this update, we also added a link where users can view mating products to the products that are already in their cart. Clicking this link will bring up a lightbox that will show mating products and will allow users to easily add these to their cart as well.
RoHS CoC Automation Tool Updates
Our RoHS and REACH CoC tool allows users to generate necessary compliance documentation instantly and 24/7 for eligible parts. This software interfaces with our internal APIs to generate these documents. This month we’ve added additional products from Optics and additional certificate types to widen the coverage even further.
Coming soon we’ll be working on adding more products to our Material Declaration CoC tool as well.
More Emphasis On Reserve™ Products
We first launched Samtec Reserve™ in 2020 to provide 1-day shipping for over 200,000 products. Since then, we’ve expanded the products that are available in Reserve™ and it has become very popular for customers who need parts quickly.
We’ve recently updated a few of our tools across the website to prioritize Reserve™ parts first, as well as allow users easier-to-access options to filter by these products. You’ll see this update in our Flex Stacking Solutionator and High-Speed Board-to-Board Solutionator.
New AcceleRate HP Cable Development Kit Page
As data rates increase, trace length on PCBs decreases. Samtec’s high-speed, Flyover® cable assemblies simplify PCB design and limit signal degradation in high data rate applications. The AcceleRate® HP Flyover® SI Evaluation Kit provides system designers and SI engineers an easy-to-use solution for testing the AcceleRate® HP High-Density, High-Performance Cable System.
The AcceleRate® HP Flyover® SI Evaluation Kit (REF-231683-X.XX-XX) routes 16 high-speed signals through Precision RF connectors, an AcceleRate® HP High-Density, High-Performance Cable Assembly and 0.635 mm AcceleRate® HP Sockets for ARP6 Series.
