In May, we rolled out a few new content pages, a new video search experience along with hundreds of new standalone video pages, and a brand new application to search through our flexible stacking products.
Here are the major web updates for this month.
New Video Search Experience
Samtec has hundreds of videos that span across everything from products, to demos, to presentations, branding, and more. We rebuilt our video search to be more lightweight, and also added a huge new feature.
Previous to this update, all of the videos opened in a modal pop-up window. With this new update, any time a user clicks on a video, it will open in a brand new page that is dedicated to that video.
This allows the user to see the description of the video, view the video in fullscreen, easily share the URL, and save the URL for later. This also makes it easier for search engines to find our videos and rank them within video search results, which is never a bad thing. 🙂

New Flexible Stacking Search Tool
This new software application is a tool within a tool. We first rolled out our newest version of Picture Search last year. One of our goals with that application was to make products easier to find visually. Now, to continue with that goal, we’ve just released a new graphical approach to sorting through our millions of options for vertical board stacking products.
This is the first iteration of our newest web tool, the Vertical Board Stacking Search. This tool allows users to click a few boxes and get back a list of mated sets that will work for exactly the parameters they enter. It even features a really simple (yet very powerful) slider tool that allows you to graphically choose a stack height range. This is a much better experience than typing numbers as in previous tools.
To find your product, you’ll simply select your board termination type, pitch, number of positions needed, and then slide the stack height until you’re happy with your result set.
We’ll create more links to this new tool soon, and will also be adding more product types and terminations to it in the near future.

Flexible Power Products Content Page
Samtec’s flexible power solutions are available as high power only or power/signal combinations up to 60 Amps with high-density power blades in small form factors. Board-to-board and discrete wire cable assemblies available.
With up to 18 Amps/blade in an ultra micro footprint, mPOWER® connectors provide incredible design flexibility as a power-only system or a two piece system for power/signal applications when used with Samtec’s high-speed connector systems. Micro Mate® and Power Mate® systems feature individually shrouded contacts for electrical and mechanical protection. High power solutions up to 60 Amps/blade feature high density blades in a small form factor, vertical or right-angle orientations, and power-only, power/signal combinations or split power options.

Discrete Wire Products Content Page
Samtec is uniquely positioned as a full support supplier of discrete wire products, from components and tooling to complete cable assemblies. The full line of discrete wire products includes standard cable assemblies with thousands of options available for maximum flexibility, as well as extended capabilities to create a custom solution for any design challenge.
Discrete wire solutions are available in a wide variety of pitches from 0.80 mm to 6.35 mm, as well as wire gauges from 10 to 32 AWG. Additional options include rugged latching, high-reliability Tiger Eye™ or individually shrouded contact systems, ultra micro power, standard and high-power versions, polarization and keying.

Sealed I/O Products Content Page
AccliMate™ sealed I/O systems meet IP67/IP68 requirements for dust and water proof sealing, ideal for high reliability in harsh environments. These sealed systems include bayonet circulars in 12 mm, 16 mm or 22 mm shell sizes with choice of pin configuration and gender, as well as kitted components for efficient field assembly. A cost-effective crimp version is also available for cable-to-panel applications. The miniature push-pull system is constructed of a lightweight plastic in a small form factor for increased panel density.
AccliMate™ sealed rectangulars offer a 25-45% panel area savings, making them ideal for low-profile applications with USB and Ethernet signal options. Threaded sealed circulars are available with USB, or Ethernet that meets CAT3, CAT5, and CAT5e. Rugged dust caps are also available.
