This month we rolled out a couple of new content pages, updated our main navigation with access to upgraded tools across the website, made several improvements to the translated areas of the website, and upgraded our infrastructure for better compatibility with evolving website needs.

Certificate of Compliance Tools Now in Main Navigation
We’ve been making incremental improvements to our compliance certificate area of the website where users can auto-generate various certificates of compliance using our APIs that contain this information. These tools streamline the process for users by allowing instant 24/7 website access.
We’ve recently added links to these tools within our main navigation and cleaned up a few other links that we’ve combined into landing pages. You can find these new links under the Resources –> Tools & Technical Resources area.
Translated Website Improvements
Samtec.com is translated into three additional languages beyond English, which are German, Japanese, and Chinese. This month we rolled out several small updates to improve compatibility across the translated areas of the website. These include updated redirects to ensure users are viewing the correct language, adding more areas of the site that were not translated before, better cookie handling to ensure users can stay logged in on the translated areas of the website, and more.
In the near future, we’ll also be improving the Checkout and Account / Registration areas of the website to offer our translated languages in those areas, as well as accepting a much wider variety of field input that can vary across multiple supported languages. Keep an eye on these areas of the website for continued improvement.
Improvements with Cookie Handling
While cookies might be one of the more boring parts of how websites work, they’re an extremely important piece. We rolled out a few updates on how several of our login cookies work to provide a more streamlined login experience with fewer redirects and a smaller size. This helps the login process work faster and be much more stable across various areas of the website.
Webserver Infrastructure Upgrades
We’re close to finalizing a project to fully transition the website to a new server infrastructure. We transitioned a good portion of the site in 2022, and are now circling back to tackle the rest. We rolled out several updates this month with our APIs, and will aim to complete this project in May while we work through a few of the final pieces.
The end result will be a snappier website and an improved foundation for continued development across Samtec.com
