Samtec had a fantastic week at DesignCon 2022. Attendance was good, presentations were strong, and products were fast! We talk a lot about this show because it is our major kick off for technical presentations and new product demonstrations. From Start to Finish
Our Welcome Reception kick off was a great event that hosted customers, competitors, and partners for a fun outdoor networking session. All participants enjoyed great food and fellowship regardless of the company they worked for. There was plenty of “shop talk” heard but so much more catching up on missed face to face time.
This event was the kick off to many more well attended talks, presentations, and expo floor engagement.
Awards and Accolades
Congratulations to Richard Mellitz for receiving DesignCon Engineer of the Year! Samtec could not be prouder of Richard and the work he has contributed to the industry. With over 50 years in the industry his contributions to the world of Signal Integrity continue to impact designs today. Our friends at DesignNews did a great job expanding on Richard’s story if you would like to read more.
We would also like to congratulate our team for winning one of the Best Paper awards for “A Case Study in the Development of a 112 Gbps-PAM4 Silicon & Connector Test Platform”. This paper along with others presented last year can be found in Samtec’s Technical Library.
Jean-Remy Bonnefoy was the presenter of this paper in 2021 and accepted the award on behalf of the Samtec and Alphawave team.
Presentations and Partnerships
Collaboration with other Industry leaders and partners helped Samtec to be involved with another 8 paper presentations this year. These partnerships help us better understand the signal path as we march to 224 Gbps speeds and create compelling demonstrations of the solutions we develop. We were fortunate to have 5 partners generating signal to show the performance of our product in our booth.
