In last month’s update, we brought you an updated way to order your samples from our Solutionator parametric search tool.
In February, we rolled that out on an even larger scale, with this feature being added to a new full-part technical specifications page experience (more about this experience next month).
We also brought you a new guide to help you with our Micro Rugged products, as well as a major update to our Silicon-to-Silicon web experience.
Here is a summary of the major web updates for February 2017.
One-Step Sample Process Expansion
We first debuted our one-step sample process on a small scale in our Solutionator tool. This month, we’re excited to announce that this same feature has been added to our full-part technical specifications page.
To take this feature for a test run, follow the instructions below:
- Navigate to https://www.samtec.com/products/tsw-150-07-g-d (or any valid full-part number in the URL)
- Click on the “Get a Free Sample” button
- Fill out the streamlined one-step sample form and click “Confirm Order”
- That’s it. Your sample will be on it’s way!
This is the next big step in bringing a significantly streamlined sample and ordering experience to you at Samtec.com. Let us know what you think!
Micro Rugged Guide
Our newly released Micro Rugged Application Design Guide explores the solutions we’re offering to meet the demands of higher speeds in smaller form factors.
This guide details and introduces new products and features for even greater design flexibility.
Some of the products featured in this guide are Edge Rate®, Tiger Eye™, and our expanding line of Micro Power products.

Updated Silicon-to-Silicon Experience
If you’ve been paying close attention to the Samtec navigation (which I’m sure you have!), you will have already noticed that the previous “IC Packaging” subheading has been replaced by a “Silicon-to-Silicon” heading, which drops down into a significantly larger portion of content and helpful resources.
Within this experience, you’ll find links to products and resources that support the growing need of system designers to optimize the high-speed serial path from bare die, to IC package and assembly, to PCB, connectors and cable assemblies, and back again.
To check it out, head to the Silicon-to-Silicon heading on Samtec.com.
Coming Soon to Samtec.com
- Expanding access of our full-part tech specs pages into all of our major tools
- A major update to the Samtec Search experience
- Several new pieces of product literature to support your design process
