IEEE OIC 2017

Starting into their 6th year, the IEEE Photonics division is again hosting their optical conference in search of new optimizations and design developments.

IEEE OIC (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Optical Interconnect Conference) is all things optical, from high-performance systems with data rates into the terabytes/second, to commercial reality solutions.  The conference will be specifically discussing the advancements of photonics and the effects they hold for optical systems.  Key takeaways include:

• the pros & cons of on-board optics in data center hardware
• how will the urgent need for 100Gb/s will be met in backplanes and chip-to-chip
• In-depth collaboration with hardware and data center experts in optical applications
